What do we do at Collier County Beekeeper Meetings?

We talk bees starting with an educational presentation interspersed with lots of Q&A followed by networking opportunities to geek out talking bees with fellow members.

Typically, starting with In-depth relevant Bee Management Topic, Value Added Topic or Demo, followed by Q&A. The second half of the meeting is more social and networking with fellow Members to mentor one another and support each other’s love of bees.

Bring in Guest Speakers to talk on their areas of expertise tailored support, you’ll leave this event aligned and ready to embrace your best life.

Brand New to Bees?

We have an Online ZOOM Meeting the first Tues at 7pm that covers the UF Bee Lab’s Best Management Practices (specific to South Florida), Hive CSI, What’s Blooming in the Area, followed by Q&A to troubleshoot hives or beekeeping-related issues for new beekeepers

Organized by

Gulf Coast Beekeepers of Florida! We welcome you to join us for bee-friendly events & workshops! All skill levels encouraged to join!

At our meetings, we hope to educate and mentor beekeepers of all skill levels. We will be discussing what should be going on in your hive that month, any current problems we face as beekeepers, current pest and infections, local and state legislative as well as where to get equipment and supplies locally and any current bee-related events.

We will have a honey booth during each County Fair where we will sell local honey, honey straws from our members and give away free information on beekeeping and honeybees.

There will be two Intro to Beekeeping courses  throughout the year to help encourage and educate new beekeepers.

Some of our beekeepers also sell their Honey at the local farmers markets and others may participate in bee removals. So, there will always be something for everyone.
