Please join us for an evening with Guido Quaroni VP of Software R&D at PIXAR. Come learn about his journey from Pavia, Italy to the Bay Area where he leads one of the most innovative companies in the world.

It all started in 1996 when Quaroni interviewed during SIGGRAPH in New Orleans for a position at Pixar. Soon after, in January 1997, he moved to the US to start working on Toy Story 2 (1999). He worked initially as a generalist Technical Director by performing, modeling, articulation, shading, and special effects tasks. In 2007, Quaroni returned to production taking the role as a Supervising Technical Director for Toy Story 3 (2010) leading the teams also responsible for characters, sets, animation controls, surface materials, lighting, special effects, and rendering. In 2010, Quaroni took the role of Supervising Technical Director for Monsters University (2013). In 2011, Quaroni was promoted to V.P. of Software R&D at Pixar.
