Guided Tidepool Exploration
Join SWC for a morning of discovery as we explore the unique and fascinating creatures that make their homes in Oregon's tidepools.
Join us for a fun free event to learn about our coastal neighbors!
Attendees will meet and check in at the northwest corner of the Safeway Parking lot in Florence, OR at 8:30am before traveling together to the site, roughly 1/2 hours drive north. Carpooling is encouraged. We will have approximately an hour to explore after arrival before the tide necessitates leaving the area.
Please note that traversing to, from, and around tidal pools requires walking on highly slick, uneven surfaces. Come prepared with close-toed, skid resistant shoes and a walking stick. Rain gear is advisable, as are layers; it will likely be windy, rainy, or both!
