<p>Our virtual backyard party fundraiser offers you an exclusive taste of what we’ve got cooking! In our biggest virtual event since COVID hit we&#x27;re featuring:</p><h3><em>Byte</em> and <em>Kilobyte </em>for solo violin</h3><p>Music by Emily Koh and performance by Lilit Hartunian, violin</p><p>Emily Koh recently received Commissioning Grant for Female Composers from OPERA America and will be writing her first evening length opera, HER:alive|un|dead: a media opera for Guerilla Opera to be premiered in 2023.</p><h3><em>A Dead Body</em>, a chamber opera</h3><p>Excerpts of music by Mischa Salkind-Pearl, libretto Franny Zhang and performed by Guerilla Opera All Stars.</p><p>This haunting psychological, sci-fi drama is the next Guerilla opera slated to premiere.  </p><h3><em>Papillon</em></h3><p>Featuring <em>Sept Papillons</em> for solo cello Kaija Saariaho, animation and direction by Deniz Khateri and performed by Aliana de la Guardia, actor and Stephen Marotto, cello</p><p><em>Papillon </em>follow the ever-changing life cycle of a butterfly, and features animation and direction by Iranian theater artist and animator Deniz Khateri, as well as Cuban dance-inspired shadow theater by Aliana de la Guardia on top of Kaija Saariaho&#x27;s ephemeral <em>Sept Papillons</em> played by Stephen Marotto. </p><h3>We also have something new to reveal, but we won&#x27;t reveal it before the party!</h3><p>Purchase a virtual link for you and your household for $75.00 or join the Backyard Bash Party with a friend from anywhere  for $112.50!</p>
