Software developer by trade, security professional by choice – Ian MacMillan has built a career in technology and making people and businesses more secure. Starting his career as a developer with a focus in User Experience and User Interface design and development, Ian has created meaningful experiences for organizations like the University of New Brunswick, IBM, Beauceron Security, and others.

After co-founding Beauceron Security in 2016, Ian spent just over 6 years creating a platform and building a business that set out to change the way organizations thought about making people more secure. Ian brings his skills and experience as a UI/UX expert into his security career, applying a human-focused view into the security of organizations.

Ian holds several well-recognized security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), and is part of MNP Digital’s Cyber Risk and Compliance practice. In this role, Ian conducts risk assessments and PCI compliance assessments for organizations small and large, working with them to improve their security posture, achieve compliance, and protect themselves against security threats.
