GS Apple Picking Trip 2023

GS Goes Apple Picking

Students are invited to attend an off-campus excursion to Apple Dave's Orchards in upstate New York for apple picking, wine and cider tastings, and shopping at the farm store. At the orchard, there will be apple cider donuts, bakery items, fresh pressed apple cider available for purchase (cash preferred).

GS will provide round-trip transportation from Columbia University and a bagged sandwich lunch. Students are responsible for picking and purchasing their own apples. Upon purchasing your ticket(s), please email jac2365@columbia.edu with any dietary restrictions/allergies.

Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Ocotber 3rd via Eventbrite. Each ticket is $10.00

We will begin loading the bus at 9:30 a.m. in front of Lewisohn Hall (2970 Broadway).

Bus will depart Lewisohn Hall at: 10:00 a.m.

Arrive at Dave’s Orchards: 11:10 a.m.

Depart Dave’s Orchards: 2:00 p.m.

This event is only open to currently enrolled GS students. If you do not register with your UNI email, you will be refunded and your ticket will be released. We have a limited number of tickets, students are allowed to purchase 1 ticket. If you purchase more than 1, ALL of your tickets will be refunded. Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd via Eventbrite. Each ticket is $10.00

Students who wish to drive separately to the event can do so and do not need to purchase a ticket. The address is 82 Four Corners Road, Warwick, NY 10990. We expect the group to arrive at Apple Dave's Orchards at approximately 11:00 a.m.

SUBSIDIZED TICKETS

The GS Student Life Office provides the opportunity for GS students to request subsidized tickets to events throughout the school year in order to support those with financial need.

Applicants seeking a subsidized ticket may either be a current full-time or part-time GS student. All requests will be reviewed by GS Student Life staff members. Subsidized ticket requests for this event are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2. Students will be notified by Tuesday, October 4 if they were approved for a subsidized ticket. If the ticket is not redeemed by the deadline, it will be released.

Please note, you should only submit ONE subsidized ticket request (multiple requests will not be accepted, nor will requests be accepted if you have already purchased a full-priced ticket).
