Growing Stronger Together is a Fully Funded 3-Day Train the Trainer course for colleagues working in Liverpool.

This training will equip you to deliver a 4-session model for working with adults who have experienced adversity in their childhoods, aiming to improve their quality of life. The 4-session model can be delivered to groups of adults within communities across Liverpool and as staff training as part of the continued professional and personal development. We will support you to integrate Growing Stronger Together into your existing work with adults.

This project is building on from previous work around ACE’s as part of the Liverpool Aces Strategy: Growing Stronger (growing-stronger.org) Growing Stronger is a campaign developed in partnership with School Improvement Liverpool and Liverpool City Council, with the aim of helping people of all backgrounds and ages within the local area build resilience for and protection from Adverse Childhood Experiences.

The strategy has three main goals:

  • Preventing ACEs from occurring
  • Supporting children who may be affected by ACEs
  • Supporting adults who may be affected by their own ACEs

The training offer has been developed with Trauma Informed Consultancy Services Limited Trauma Informed Consultancy Services Ltd (ticservicesltd.com) and is suitable for multi-agency colleagues working with adults to improve outcomes for all. We look forward to working collaboratively with you to address the third aim of the Growing Stronger campaign’ Supporting adults who may be affected by their own ACEs’ – evidence tells us that working on this aim will positively impact on the first two aims.

Very informative yet uplifting ways to learn new strategies to deliver to our local community. Thank you for being so informative and thorough in your delivery. I really enjoyed this course and look forward to putting it into practice. Tricia – The Lodge Wellness Centre

No matter what training / experience you have had, this course will teach you something that will transform your thinking both professionally and personally. Do it now whilst its free. Kate McGing, Assistant Headteacher, Hope School, Liverpool

The delivery has been really good, really useful tools shared. This has been designed as a training model anyone can understand. It supports you to unpick things with greater understanding of people’s past and how this cant be changed but positive steps can be made to accept this. Thinking of ACEs in a more hopeful way that’s not scary to talk about, they don’t define you. Sarah PSS (3rd Sector Charity)

A very informative course, well delivered, warm and safe.

Excellent training lots of resources, slides, information & knowledge. Friendly, approachable & passionate about the programme. Thelma – Independent Social Worker, Counsellor

A really enjoyable course, lots of interactive activities. Learned new techniques for self-regulation. Thank you Kate, Hayley – Senior Lecturer

An amazing course which balances practical and theoretical components really well. The trainer was approachable and knowledgeable which made the course really exciting and a privilege.
