Growing Stronger Together is a Fully Funded 3-Day Train the Trainer course for colleagues working in Liverpool.

This project is building on from previous work around ACE’s as part of the Liverpool Aces Strategy: Growing Stronger (growing-stronger.org) Growing Stronger is a campaign developed in partnership with School Improvement Liverpool and Liverpool City Council, with the aim of helping people of all backgrounds and ages within the local area build resilience for and protection from Adverse Childhood Experiences.

The strategy has three main goals:

  • Preventing ACEs from occurring
  • Supporting children who may be affected by ACEs
  • Supporting adults who may be affected by their own ACEs

The training offer has been developed with Trauma Informed Consultancy Services Limited Trauma Informed Consultancy Services Ltd (ticservicesltd.com) and is suitable for multi-agency colleagues working with both children and adults to improve outcomes for all. We look forward to working collaboratively with you to address the third aim of the Growing Stronger campaign’ Supporting adults who may be affected by their own ACEs’ – evidence tells us that working on this aim will positively impact on the first two aims.

Growing Stronger Together - Compassionate approaches for working with adults affected by their own ACES breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma...

If you want to learn more about how to implement a trauma informed approach into your everyday practice, and develop a network with likeminded colleagues across Liverpool, this course is for you!

Reserve your place on this fully funded 3-day Train the Trainer Course aimed at front line practitioners wishing to develop evidenced based strategies whilst strengthening their existing skills in supporting ADULTS whose lives have been affected by their own Adverse Childhood Experiences. This training offer includes clinical skills group supervision, alongside inclusion in an ongoing peer supervision network for delegates. We will deliver a friendly, experiential, and interactive training programme taking a relational approach to foster a sense of belonging and safety. Growing Stronger Together draws from a range of psychological theories including person centred (Carl Rogers) CFT – (compassion focussed therapy, Paul Gilbert) ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy, Russ Harris) CAT (cognitive analytical therapy, Tony Ryle & Steve Potter).

Participants will be guided in how to deliver the training programme with adults.
