About this event

  • 2 hours

Ed and Sam are more than passionate about health, fitness, and aging. They've worked in this industry nearly all their lives, and currently operate a successful fitness program solely for seniors that consistently has a waiting list to join!

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How prevalent arthritis is - everyone your age has it! Learn why arthritis is not a death sentence
  • How mindset matters. If you believe you're doomed because you have arthritis, come hear about at least 100 others like you who have taken control and are thriving in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and even their 90s
  • How your sleep habits, quantity, and quality affect pain levels
  • How exercise - and the right kind, and the right amount - can lower pain levels and increase your ability to do more as you age
  • How your diet affects pain and mobility
  • How having a "tribe" or group of friends can benefit your health

And finally, we'll send you away with a small workbook of pointers you can immediately begin to employ in your own life to feel better and do more!

Ed has been a physical therapist for almost 40 years. He has a master’s degree and a PhD in Business, has been a business owner several times, the Vice President of a publicly traded company, the Chairman of the Board, a researcher and author, and an international lecturer…he’s kind of a Renaissance Man within the senior health and wellness realm. He is also the test subject of many of our experiments, whether it be physical, nutritional, or supplemental!

Ed walks the walk and talks the talk. Not much can derail him from making improving his physical performance a part of his daily life. If it’s not important to him, how can he preach it to his senior athletes and business partners? His fitness resume includes a 3:58 Fran time, 25 rounds of Cindy, a 405# Deadlift, 330# Backsquat, and a 165# Press…at age 62!

His athletes are like his kids – he wants them to get straight As and excel in Phys. Ed…so when you get a “C” he’s peeved! With his background, he can design, execute, and manipulate an exercise program and an athlete to achieve the result he wants.

Fast forward from educating his therapy colleagues on advances in knee rehabilitation to young athletes in a CrossFit gym to, now, seniors in a functional fitness gym…nothing has changed. Educate, execute.
