Growing Brain: Understanding Behavior

Growing Brain: Understanding Behavior

Overview

In- Person training

Instructor: Janna Mason

Nevada Registry Approved: 2.0 Hours

CKA: Human Growth & Development

This class will focus on key factors of behavioral expression; individual development, temperament, and environment. These factors shape how children process and react to the experiences they have in the world. We will explore the importance of child observation in understanding behavior and effective techniques for helping children.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this session, participants will recall the connection between the various areas of the brain and how these connections are expressed through behavior.

2 . By the end of this session, participants will summarize the key factors that influence behavior.

3 . By the end of this session, participants will identify the root cause of challenging behavior and effective strategies for helping children with these difficulties.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
