Our online training classes are available to help early childhood professionals complete their required annual training hours and enhance their knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care for Nevada’s children.This platform is used for statewide web-based training courses and require registration on both Eventbrite and GoToTraining.Supporting Early Education and Development (SEED) works collaboratively with other agencies to provide opportunities for education and training in the field of early childhood through workshops and self-guided training materials.The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. Instructor: Janna MasonNevada Registry Approved: 2.0 HoursCKA: Human Growth &amp; DevelopmentThis class will focus on key factors of behavioral expression; individual development, temperament, and environment. These factors shape how children process and react to the experiences they have in the world. We will explore the importance of child observation in understanding behavior and effective techniques for helping children.Training Objectives:1 . By the end of this session, participants will recall the connection between the various areas of the brain and how these connections are expressed through behavior.2 . By the end of this session, participants will summarize the key factors that influence behavior.3 . By the end of this session, participants will identify the root cause of challenging behavior and effective strategies for helping children with these difficulties.Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
