I will share the framework I developed from working with infants, toddlers, school aged children, and adolesecents. I specialize in moving from the preverbal to verbal stage in communication. I integrate the developmental areas of movement, sensation, cognition and connection with others to develop verbal communication (speech).
The problem is NOT you. The problem is NOT your child. The only real problem is the outdated model used to address speech delay!

I am a licensed and certified speech language pathologist (SLP), specializing in working with those who are nonverbal, can't eat, have "unclear" speech, use behavior to communicate or have challenges learning.
I have 16 years experience working with children of various ages. I have worked within the Early Intervention system in three different states, fulfilling a therapeutic or an adminstrative roll for 16 years. I spent 4 years within the public school system in two different states. I have owned my own private practice for over 8 years.
I work with parents and caregivers to develop the foundational skills required for communication, language speech. My aim is to provide information and guidance that is easy, falls within typical routines, and is enjoyable. My work builds the attachment bonds between parents and children through providing clarity and validation within a strength-based, supportive parent coaching model.
I provide developmentally appropriate, relationship based, trauma informed and neurodivergent affirming speech language pathology services.

I am offering this event for anyone interested in how speech and language skills are developed. I use an integrative model which considers all areas of development, such as interaction with others, movement, sensory processing, eating skills and cognition.
The short answer is there is not a specific age group intended for this event. I base my framework for speech on development. This means I use the same steps for infants as I do for toddlers, preschoolers and adolescents to develop speech and language skills.
I am a certified and licensed speech language pathologist. I specialize in coaching parents how to help their children develop greater feeding, learning, cognitive and speech skills. I love helping parents understand and assist in their child's growth and development so that a child is verbal.
I am frustrated with the current offered solutions for those who are preverbal. These models offer limited growth, requiring years of therapy. I want more parents to be empowered to understand the trajectory of speech, language and learning development to change their child's course of development.
I seek to remove the barriers (including financial!) for those who want this information. The ability to develop speech shouldn't take years, fancy professionals or thousands of dollars to develop. It's simple when you understand the process; I want that simplicity for as many as possible.
