Grilled Cheese Throwdown!

Formaggio KitchenFormaggio Kitchen has been an institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts for over 40 years - a gourmand's paradise doubling as a neighborhood grocer. Cheese is our specialty and our classes offer an opportunity to experience an exquisite selection from near and far. Our mongers choose cheeses that are tasting best at the time and pair them with wine, beer and classic, or sometimes surprising, accompaniments. Classes usually run about 1.5-2 hours.To purchase a spot, select the class you are interested in from the list below and register online. Please make note of ourcancellation policy.For any classes or events involving tastings of beer or wine, we validate legal age of our participants.

Formaggio Kitchen

Grilled cheese sandwiches come in a wide range of different styles from light and flakey to super gooey, meal worthy masterpieces. Some cheeses may be hurt during this battle, but your stomachs will be rewarded! In this showdown, each of our two competing cheesemongers will be given a specific cheese to use to create a masterful grilled cheese. Those sitting ringside (you!) will sample their way through five rounds and ultimately decide who lands the knockout. To keep you refreshed throughout the grueling competition, libations will be provided by both fighters. May the best cheese griller win!
NOTE: This class is held at our classroom annex, not our retail location.
