As we approach the delicate corridor between Mother's and Father's Day, a time often marked by celebration and reflection, we recognize the profound sensitivity it holds for those experiencing the grief of parental loss.
Join us on Friday, June 14th at Studio DDLA for an intimate and supportive gathering focused on navigating the complex terrain of parental loss. Whether you're grappling with the passing of a parent figure or facing the anticipatory grief of knowing their time is limited, this gathering offers a brave space to explore and express your emotions alongside a community of people who are on a similar journey.
Through the unique format of a "Death Over Dinner," led by Death Doula Chanel Durley of Mourning Flow, we will come together over a shared meal to memorialize our loved ones. We'll honor the various aspects of grief, including the range of emotions that accompany loss and relationships. Guided by skilled facilitators, we'll provide gentle prompts to foster reflection, connection, and healing.
This dinner is for anyone experiencing anticipatory grief of, and parental loss in all its forms - mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and all parental figure(s). You are welcome here. To keep this gathering accessible, we are offering a sliding scale price option with a suggested minimum of $15. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Seating is limited. To be an event or seat sponsor, please email hello@mourningflow.com.
