Grief:When You Don't Want to Celebrate The Holidays

The usual "tools" of the fast-approaching holidays are; handed-down recipes, tree-hunting, family gatherings and so many traditions.  But when the holidays are compounded with a loss, it can be debilitating, devastating, paralyzing, dreadful and well, you know - you can fill in your own valid description of loss and pain. 
Perhaps you have heard that you just need to "let go and move on", but no one told you how to "let go and move on". 
First of all, grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss, yet it doesn't feel normal or natural. 
And there are over 40 losses that we may experience. Just look at the small list below:

This is why The Grief Recovery Method was developed over 30 years ago. TO EXPECT: 
 1. We will meet for 7 weeks, 2 hours/week: Thursday, 9/12 through Thursday 10/24. 2. You will have homework. But don't worry, it is very doable but very important.  3. This is a closed class. It is not a drop-in support group. 4. Group size is limited to 16 people.  5. You must be over the age of 18 years old. 6. We provide a safe environment to help you work through your loss.
Time does not heal. It's what you do with that time that makes the difference. Let's use this time between now and before the holidays to make this season different.

The Spare Room is located next to Twin Falls Family Dentistry in the Bi Lo shopping center. Parking is free.
