Greyson's Gala will be a dinner held at Kern County Fairgrounds HARVEST HALL on Saturday, June 29th. Event will feature a small live auction and fund a need to benefit Greyson Franklin, a 4 year old battling cancer for the 2nd time. #GManStrong
Here’s his story:
When Greyson was 18 months old his dentist found a sore in his mouth that wouldn’t go away with many different medications. He began extensive testing before they were finally able to diagnose him with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. This rare autoimmune disease causes cancerous lesions on and in the body that need chemotherapy and steroids to be able to get rid of them. He had a tumor on his jaw and lesions through his gums and on his scalp.
He went through a whole year of chemo treatments from March 2017 to April 2018 when he graduated to be N.E.D. (no evidence of disease). After becoming NED he still had to be sedated for routine MRI’s, XRays and blood work to make sure these tumors didn’t come back. 
At almost 1-year post chemo Greyson’s MRI came back questionable. He, again, went through extensive testing before finding he had relapsed with another tumor in his sinus cavity and lesions through this gums and pallet. 
This little boy is so young and has to go through ANOTHER fight against such a horrible beast, but his parents are hopeful and truly believe he will beat it once again. Even through their high spirits and smiles, the expenses in travel and medical bills are adding up. They are asking for the community’s help to make sure Greyson gets all the treatment he needs, no matter how far his chemo clinic is. #GManStrong
