Saturday, Mar 28, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm
Overview

Come and explore the ancient art of Gregorian chant in this free, expert-led workshop!

Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of Gregorian and Plainchant music!

Come and discover the beauty of Gregorian chant and plainsong in our third workshop led by renowned organist and music leader John Horton. With years of experience in sacred music and vocal training, John will guide participants through the timeless tradition of chant in a welcoming and supportive environment.

This workshop will primarily focus on music from "Missa de Angelis" - The Mass of the Angels.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop is open to all who are interested in learning the art of Gregorian chant and plainsong.

Sung Mass, which will include the pieces practiced at the workshop will be at 1200, followed by a light lunch.

This music gives a taste of an ancient form of Scottish spirituality, and is at the heart of what we do here at St Margarets. Everyone is welcome to come and sing at the Family Mass on Sunday at 10.30am!
