Graphite Portrait Drawing Workshop—3 part series over 3 weeks. Ticket price covers all 3, 1 ½ hour sessions. No need for multiple tickets.

Ready to sharpen your art skills? Join Jamie, of Jasmine Moon Designs, and BuckleDown Brewing for a 3 part graphite portrait drawing workshop where you'll dive into the techniques of drawing, shading, and capturing likeness with pencil. This in-person series is perfect for beginners who love to draw faces. Each session is 1.5 hours in length, over the course of 3 weeks. Have a mid-week drink or 3, learn some art, and share some laughs with friends—it is sure to be a great time for all! Bring your creativity and let’s make some stunning portraits together.

There are a very limited amount of spaces available for this workshop, so please book quickly to make sure you get your spot reserved. 16 years of age (with parent present in the bar) and older welcome to attend!

Session 1, Layout Fundamentals. Thursday, 2/12/26 from 6-7:30 PM. Learn to plan your grid for drawing out your chosen image on paper, plus a discussion on some of the psychology behind what makes drawing seem so difficult and easy solutions to getting past the hurdles.

Session 2, Drawing Techniques. Thursday, 2/19/26 from 6-7:30 PM. Learn what materials to use and where, and several techniques for getting the look you want from your art.

Session 3, Advanced Shading. Thursday, 2/26/26 from 6-7:30 PM. After your drawing is outlined on your paper, learn the techniques needed to get that gorgeous, realistic shading that really makes your work stand out.

Cost per session is $25 per student ($75 total, plus materials). Ticket price includes all 3 sessions. A Sketchbook, graphite pencil set, and blending tools will need to be purchased for the event (approximately $20, total). Please, see the suggestions below—these are reasonably priced and contain everything you will need to get you started for the workshops and for your personal art adventures after!

Tape and rulers will be available for student use. Please, bring 2, high resolution, 8X10” prints of your photograph of choice printed in black and white. No color photographs, please.
