UCL Health of the Public Early Careers Network

At this workshop, ECRs  will present an outline grant or fellowship proposal and receive feedback from senior academic mentors and peers.

The UCL Health of the Public Early Careers Network (ECN) is running a grant writing mentoring session for Early Career Researchers on Tuesday 2nd May, 2-4pm. This will be an in-person only event, taking place in Maple House, Tottenham Court Road, London.At this workshop, early career researchers will have the chance to present a two-page outline grant or fellowship proposal, and receive feedback from senior academic mentors and peers.On the day, the early career researchers will deliver a three minute presentation about their proposal. Senior academic mentors will then ask questions about the proposal and provide constructive feedback. Proposals will also be shared with the other early career researchers attending the event to facilitate peer learning.There are only 12 places available at the mentoring workshop, which will last two hours. To reserve a place, you have to submit a two-page research proposal using the following online form: <a href="https://forms.office.com/e/FRV6yzBKTs" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://forms.office.com/e/FRV6yzBKTs</a>. Places will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis and proposals should be submitted by Friday 21st April at the latest.Feedback from previous events has been extremely positive, including the following:“The mentoring feedback session on the submitted grant outline by Prof. C was absolutely excellent. Having to assess the work of others in a formal fashion made me critically re-assess by own work in a very useful fashion.”Please note - by signing up on Eventbrite, you are only registering your interest to attend.
