Regional Arts and Culture Council: Artist Workshops

Come learn the basics of grant writing from a community oriented, social justice framework! In this class we'll cover mission statements, the basic elements of a business plan, project planning, budget creation, systems building, research and basic grant application quidelines in an accessible, radical and chill atmosphere.
Presenter: Leila Haile (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and organizer working in illustration, tattooing, art as direct action, dance and storytelling. They have been working in Nonprofit management, development and fundraising for 5 years and have a passion for youth work and disability justice. San Francisco born and Portland based for the last 13 years; they view creativity and community organizing as a sacred practice linked to their place in the diaspora.
