The Texas Grant Resource Center’s 2017-2018 Community Partner Program provides events that will uplift, educate and advance in ways that make the Central Texas nonprofit community even stronger. Nonprofit professionals and advocates will gain skills and insights to boost their social impact work.The program furthers the mission of the University of Texas at Austin’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE). The DDCE’s Community Engagement Center (CEC) houses this program. In the fall of 2017 the Regional Foundation Library became the Texas Grants Resource Center.

October TGRC Presentation - Grant Basics: Write. Apply. Repeat. 
Nonprofit professionals know that obtaining grant funding is a core element of a robust development strategy. But what is the key to finding the right grant opportunities and to writing strong applications? Susannah Erler, a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) who has obtained over $10 million in grant funds for nonprofit organizations, will present approaches and offer tips for taking your grant strategy to the next level. All skill levels are welcome to this hour-long seminar. 
IMPORTANT: The event will take place at Southwest Key Programs 6002 Jain Lane 78721 NOT at the 11th St. office and not at the Huntland location.  
About the presenter: Susannah’s experience includes being the Executive Director & Station Manager for a National Public Radio affiliate, fundraising for education and workforce initiatives, and hosting and producing programs for public broadcasting. Susannah holds a master’s degree in Business with an Arts Administration (Nonprofit) specialization from the University of Wisconsin School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College. She is also a Certified member of Mission Capital’s Interim Executive Director Placement Program. She writes about nonprofits at GreaterGoodGeek.com, and on Twitter at @GreaterGoodGeek. 
The October TGRC program will be free (all you need to do is RSVP). Subsequent seminars in the TGRC program will be offered on a per-ticket basis.
