Taoists believe that the energy stored and generated in the sexual organs is an unlimited source that can be used for self-healing and cultivating spiritual growth.

TAN TIEN QIGONG & IRON SHIRT (October 9-10, 10:00 - 16:30)

Tan Tien and Iron shirt qigong practices go hand in hand. Developed in the Shaolin Temple in ancient China as a way for warriors to build power in preparation for battle, they are used in our modern day to enhance physical stability and vitality which inevitably leads to inner calm, confidence and stability in all areas of life.

Tan Tien qigong is the practice of cultivating the lower tan tien with breathing techniques, percussion using a bamboo hitter and animal positions. By creating greater elasticity in the connective tissue of the abdominal walls, pelvic floor and thoracic diaphragm it is possible to pack Qi into the spaces which will drive out toxins and negative qi, and create a protective, nourishing barrier around the vital organs and skeletal system.

Master Mantak Chia teaches in English with live translation into Italian.
