The purpose of the celebratory event is 3 fold: to honor and acknowledge Hip Hop the music of protest and change that has impacted popular culture on a global scale, to celebrate the African Diaspora here in the US and acknowledge the freedoms of African ancestry at the end of the Civil War and to create an atmosphere that will engage seniors, youth and families in a inter-generational celebration of our health and cultural engagement.
