OUR SPEAKER:

Our friend Jessica Groopman is the founder of the Regenerative Technology Project. With Lynelle Cameron and Raman Frey, she is a co-founder of Regen Bridge.

A technology industry analyst, author, and speaker, she studies the intersection of emerging technologies and regeneration. She advises forward-thinking leaders globally on disruptive “horizon 3” innovations, and supports the tech ecosystem to design our tools for the regeneration of living systems. She has published over 50 reports on a wide range of emerging tech applications and implications across culture, business, economics, and environment.

Jessica was also included in Onalytica’s list of the 100 Most Influential Thought Leaders on the Internet of Things and Top Women in AI Ethics, and recently co-authored a book about converging trends called The Fast Future Blur.

Prior, she founded research firm, Kaleido Insights, and was formerly principal analyst at Tractica, Harbor Research, and Altimeter Group, later serving as Digital Strategy & Innovation Director, now Senior Innovation Advisor with impact consultancy, Intentional Futures. Jessica is also a distinguished fellow at RegenIntel, ambassador at Capital Institute, faculty at Fast Future Fundamentals, part of the Nexxworks’ collective of futurists, and serves on CapGemini’s Net Positive Advisory Board.

Trained in anthropology, Jessica loves helping leaders think differently about the future. Based in the SF Bay Area, Jessica is a regular speaker, panelist, moderator and sought after facilitator for events across business, tech, and sustainability.

*****

Tonight our conversation will revolve around how Jess became a Silicon Valley Tech strategist, then arrived at a fundamental reorientation in her practice, from thriving within the technology ecosystem as it is, to sensing its exponential AND systemic effects on Life itself, and finally towards focusing exclusively on the regenerative capacity of exponential tech.

After this turning point, Jess also committed to helping others to direct their work towards prosocial, restorative, and "glocal" impacts themselves.

How might we continue our work in building new technological systems-- both digital and social-- with an orientation on the "just, distributive, and regenerative" potential of these tools?

How do we all narrow in on Jess' three C's: Cohering, Cross-Pollinating, and Committing together to building genuine well-being and fulfillment into our technologies going forward?
