All donations will go to Skipping Stone once sign-up for the course has closed. Skipping Stone is a Calgary-based organization that connects trans and gender diverse youth, adults, and families with comprehensive and low barrier access to the support they need and deserve. IMPORTANT NOTE:

Our collective liberation requires we use our voices. Meille may talk about politics, global events, climate change, and how living in a capitalist, patriarchal, white supremacist society actively hurts us all. We will discuss what we can do to resist, break down and realize a world where everyone is free. If these discussions distress you or cause you serious discomfort, then please reconsider taking this course and join me for a different offering.

This is not a replacement for therapy or other professional mental health services. If you are actively working through trauma or are concerned about how you may react to the course materials, please reach out to discuss or consider joining me another time.

As always, folks who join are responsible for their own minds and bodies and must honour their needs as required.

About the teacher:

Meille is an MMTCP certified, trauma-informed, mindfulness meditation practitioner. She is a white, fat, cis-gender, queer woman actively working to decolonize her mind, body and spirit. She has practiced meditation for over a decade, predominately in mindfulness (rooted in the Theravada lineage of Buddhism). Meille is passionate about sharing her skills and spiritual journey to help guide others using their own wisdom to find their path to healing, peace and joy.

*The five gates of grief are outlined in "The Wild Edge of Sorrow" by Francis Weller.
