Golden Hour

Golden Hour

Bellevue Botanical GardenBellevue, WA
Overview

A free celebration of Black entrepreneurship on the Eastside. Live performances, storytelling, speed pitching, and a sunset social.

When the sun begins its descent over the Eastside, something remarkable happens. The light softens. The air warms. People slow down — and they show up for one another.

Golden Hour Unboxed is a free, cross-cultural evening at Bellevue Botanical Garden where Black entrepreneurs, artists, families, and allies gather under the sunset to mingle, share, and rise together. It's a celebration of the many ways our community contributes to the Eastside — through art, food, storytelling, mentorship, and the everyday brilliance of building something from nothing.

Saturday, August 23, 2026 Bellevue Botanical Garden · 12001 Main St, Bellevue, WA Golden Hour to Twilight · Free · All Ages Welcome

What to Expect

Live Performances — Music, dance, and spoken word from cross-cultural artists rooted in the region.

Storytelling — Personal narratives of building, belonging, and rising.

Micro Speed Pitching Showcase — Emerging entrepreneurs and artists share ideas shaped by their cultural identities. Three minutes. One spotlight. Real connections made.

Pack-the-Box Community Drive — A back-to-school giving initiative. Bring supplies, leave with new friends.

Twilight Social — As the sky turns lavender and gold, we gather for an unhurried social that closes the evening with warmth.

Why This Event Matters

Bellevue is one of the most diverse cities in Washington — yet intentional spaces for cross-cultural exchange remain limited. Golden Hour Unboxed creates a third space where art, entrepreneurship, and community care meet under the most beautiful light of the day. We celebrate Black entrepreneurship specifically because of how it elevates the Eastside, and we welcome everyone who values creativity, collaboration, and belonging.

Tabling Opportunities

Community organizations and aligned businesses can table at the event. Nonprofits and community organizations table for free (limited seats). For-profit businesses email katoya@toyboxconsulting.net for tabling details and availability (limited seats). All vendors must provide current Washington State business license and proof of liability insurance. We prioritize Black-owned businesses, BIPOC-led organizations, and partners aligned with the event's mission.
