Going Batty!

Going Batty!

Atelier de la NatureArnaudville, LA
Saturday, Feb 28 from 3 pm to 5 pm CST
Overview

Join us to make bat boxes and learn about our Louisiana bats with Katherine Gividen.

Bats are an important part of our ecosystem. In the US, bats provide more than a BILLION dollars in pest control each year.

Come learn about our Louisiana bats, what you can do to attract them to your yard, and how to make bat boxes. If you stay until dusk (during our frog event), we will take a walk to see if we can detect and identify bats using a bat detector.

Our guest Katherine Gividen does bat surveys for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. She is president of the Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge.
