About this event

Come join us for an event that is uniquely Durham ;) We are partnering with Honeygirl Meadery for an amazing event!!!! We will start off with a flight tasting of select Honeygirl meads! Followed by some snuggles with our goats and sheep (they love to give love and are trained for stress relief therapy)

This event is for ages 21 and up. (Mead is an alcoholic beverage made from fermenting honey and fruits/herbs carefully selected and crafted by the Honeygirl team.....to learn more about them please click here: Honeygirl Meadery - Natural Artisan Mead, Downtown Durham Meadery)

Program Itinerary:

Welcome and sign-in

-Mead tasting with a flight of Honeygirl Meads (and the option to purchase others)

-Intensive goat and sheep snuggles

-Hand-washing and Time for purchasing farm products or bottles of mead if desired

Each session will include lots of goat cuddles and possible shenanigans to make you laugh, as well as a chance to spend time with our horses. This is a great way to help you release stress, do something good for your body and mind, learn ways to connect more with animals, enjoy some delicious meads, and just have time to be you.

What to wear/bring: Plan to wear clothing and shoes that can get a little dirty (closed toed shoes preferred). Bring a LARGE TOWEL or blanket (we will have some for rent for $2 if you forget yours). No earrings in ear lobes or necklaces please, and you will want a hair tie for longer hair.

*Please bring your ID if you are below 25 years old*

Ages: 21 and up only

These classes lend themselves to relaxing, calm time, so all participants will need to be aware of and open to this.

Cost: $40 per participant

About the animals: Goat snuggle area: We have 23 Nigerian dwarf goats. All are trained to cuddle. There are also two sheep who have spent their whole lives with the goats and cuddling people. Horses: We have one Halflinger (super social) and one miniature horse (sweet but a little shy)

We will no longer be doing feeding before class, but you are still welcome to bring treats for the goats that our staff will give them at regular feeding times. We are also happy to take your old food you are ready to throw out to give to our pigs Miss Charlotte and Piper throughout the week (dairy, cooked meat, veggies, and fruits)
