Tour Highlights:

• Learn how the City drills for drinking water

• Step inside the historic water tower

• Discover how the City protects the water you drink

• Descend into the depths of a wastewater lift station

• Walk on a guided tour of the Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility

Frequently asked questions

What kind of attire should I wear?

Closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required and comfortable clothes are recommended. Note: all personal possessions will be locked in the bus during stops.

How much physical activity is involved and what should I expect?

This is mainly a walking tour and includes steep stairs, uneven ground, lots of standing, varying light levels, unforeseen terrain, and possible malodorous conditions. Be prepared to walk a lot and keep up with the group.

Are reservations required?

Yes, reservations are required. You will also be expected to agree with a liability waiver for you and any children (13 years and older) that may be attending with you.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes, reservations are limited so if the tour fills up as in years past, there will be a waiting list.
