About this event

In community with LGBTQIA+ folk, we benefit from the genius of one another. Community is connection and medicine, and in it, we thrive.

Let's use community then as a resource for problem solving and support. Have a specific question related to our pride community and identities?, bring it to peers and benefit from their brilliance.

We offer 3 peer support groups each month, based on the GSRD model of sexuality. Gender, sexual orientation, and relationship diversity. This session is specifically devoted to gender diversity.

Adults only (18+) from the pride community, this group is facilitated by a trained and certified sexuality educator and counselor. Participants will be required to sign a waiver once a year to participate in the peer events for that entire year.

Donations/reciprocity to honor time are welcome on venmo @ignitewellbeing (Allison Mitch)

Please note a few important considerations:

1)for those that have not attended events with us before, we request your cameras are turned on, otherwise we will decline your participation in our event.

2)the event closes to entry at 5 min past start time (to allow the group to develop intimacy and the moderator to focus on attending participants).

3)we ask that this event be attended by folks in the US only, secondary to differing needs, cross culturally.

4)early registration is recommended; registartion closes 2 days prior to the event so that waivers can be sent out. Waivers are due by noon, central time, the day of the event

5)please avoid contacting the event facilitator the day of with questions or requests for the link - earlier emails are welcome, but day of emails might not receive a reply secondary to scheduling needs.

6)peer group is not a substitute for therapy. If you have significant mental health needs, we recommend you seek the guidance of a licensed mental health therapist in addition to peer support.

7)If a person has ordered a ticket and not cancelled their ticket prior to the event and has done this two times over 6 months, we will ask that the person refrain from registering for future events with us. This is for several reasons, including keeping tickets available to those that can make it and assisting the facilitator in managing their time (that was set aside from paid work to be available for this event). We love our community and wish to receive that love (in the form of time management) back.
