Glocal Challenge Finals

Each year, we ask Cambridge Rindge and Latin School students to solve a challenge locally in Cambridge that has global implications. The 2021 prompt for the <a href="https://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Projects/Glocal/glocal201620171" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Glocal Challenge</a> is: How might we educate and engage the Cambridge community so they participate in the nurture and care of our urban forest?

Students teams will pitch their proposals to the public at Starlight Square and try to win the most votes! All participating teams will also pitch on stage to a panel of expert judges. Two winning teams will be chosen - one by the public and the other by our panelists!

Winners receive seed funding and paid internships to implement parts of their winning proposals.

The EF Glocal Challenge is a contest-based program facilitated by EF Education First, the City of Cambridge, and the Cambridge Public Schools to help high school students learn critical 21st Century Skills, gain global competence and receive real-world experience in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math).
