Green Templeton College is proud to present the Global Mental Health Conference 2018.

We are delighted to have world experts speaking about global mental health issues and the role of psychiatry, including:

- Prof Alain Stein: Perinatal mental health in low and middle income countries

- Prof Ilina Singh: Why Ethics Matters - Collecting Neuropsychiatric Genomics Data in Africa

- Dr Nick Rose: Mental health in post-disaster settings

- Prof Keith Hawton: The Global Problem of Suicide

The conference will also include a range of interactive workshops led by eminent clinicians and academics, such as:

- Dr Mina Fazel: Mental health services for refugee children

- Dr Erminia Colucci: Films in global mental health research and advocacy

- Dr Hasanen Al-Taiar: Distance learning in conflict zones

- Dr Kate Stein and Dr Marc Toynbee: Working and training overseas in Psychiatry

All attendees must register in advance of the conference.

We invite all attending medical students and trainees, up to the level of ST3, to submit work for display. If your poster is selected for display, it will be judged by the Editor of The Lancet Psychiatry, Dr Niall Boyce. Two winners will be awarded The Lancet Psychiatry Poster Prize and a free subscription to The Lancet Psychiatry.

Please note, if you register for the conference but do not attend you will be charged a fee of £10 to cover the cost of the excess catering. GTC students will have the fee added to their Battels account and non-GTC students will be sent an invoice, which will be payable on receipt.
