Global Learning Summit 2022 (virtual)

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, theInstitute for Regional and International Studies National Resource Center(IRIS NRC) supports and enhances global awareness and inspires informed thinking about the complexities of our world.We provide resources and expertise to K-12 and post-secondary educators, students and the community at large. Working in collaboration with campus, national, and international partners, IRIS NRC strives to put the Wisconsin Idea into action. We are committed to offering cross-regional and globally themed programming in an effort to understand our increasingly interconnected world.

Glocal Learning Inside-Out, presented by DPI in partnership with WIRC

Registration is open through March 25. The first 80 Wisconsin K-12 educators to register will receive a complimentary copy of Becoming a Globally Competent Teacher by Ariel Tichnor-Wagner!The Global Learning Summit is for Wisconsin K-12 educators and high school students, with an accompanying teacher. Teachers attend a morning workshop from 9:00-11:30 and are joined by high school learners at 11:45 for an engaging keynote, Q&A with globally engaged citizens, and collaborative action planning time. High school educators may attend alone or accompany up to 20 students to this virtual event. All educators will receive a Zoom meeting link to share with their students. When registering, please indicate if students will be joining you for the afternoon program.
