&quot;Global Grooves&quot;Ladies Summer Dance SeriesWe&#x27;re excited to announce that Jennifer Gonzales with Dallas Cultural Arts Program will come to Anita Martinez Recreation Center to teach a Ladies&#x27; Adult Summer Dance Series on Thursdays in July from 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm.All levels are Welcome.Learn some fundamental steps of each dance style that will keep you Grooving all summer.July 6th - Ladies Bachata StylingIn this dance class, we&#x27;ll tap into our divine confident selves. You&#x27;ll learn some basic Bachata Fundamenta Steps and a Choreography piece using feminine &amp; sexy beginner Arm &amp; Hand Styling Movements to add to your Bachata Footwork. Come dress comfortably (tight, stretchy clothes recommended, EX: Yoga wardrobe, ballroom shoes are optional*.) Please wear shoes that allow you to slide, not too much grip.July 13th - Old-School (Hip Hop)Thats right! We&#x27;re taking it back to some Old-School Hip Hop Party Dance, &quot;GROOVES,&quot; which will be an energetic dance class. Come dress comfortably (baggy t-shirts and sweats; think 90&#x27;s hip hop theme, optional*, wear your sneakers) and be ready to learn house party dance moves and a choreography piece. -Tennis shoes are recommended for this class.July 20th - Ladies&#x27; Salsa StylingWepa&#x27; our second Global Latin class - Salsa Fundamentals, Mambo Style! In this class, we&#x27;ll learn some Basic Footwork and then play with some fun Lady&#x27;s Arm &amp; Hand Styling movements to add to your Shines. Come comfortable (tight, stretchy clothes recommended, ballroom shoes, optional*.) Please wear shoes that allow you to slide. Avoid shoes with too much grip.July 27h - Breakin&#x27; (Hip Hop)&quot;I said hip-hop, the hippie, the hippieTo the hip, hip-hop, and you don&#x27;t stop the rockinTo the bang-bang boogie, say up jump the boogieTo the rhythm of the boogie, the beat&#x27;&quot;Yes, Yes, Ya&#x27;ll, in this class, we&#x27;ll learn some Basic Breakdancing Moves! No worries, we&#x27;re not learning power moves like windmills or headspins in this class. We&#x27;re sticking to the music and dancing up Top doing Basics Break dancing. Learn some fundamentals, and then we&#x27;ll put them into a Hype Break&#x27; Beat. It&#x27;ll be fun, &amp; upbeat. Come dressed comfortably (baggy t-shirts and sweats; think 90&#x27;s hip hop theme, optional*) with your sneakers and ready to learn some fun Bgirl moves to a choreography piece.Each class will have a Warm-up &amp; Breakdown&#x27; of the steps and choreography.Bring water &amp; a towel.Note:Each participant must have a Dallas Recreation Membership for only $15 per yr.
