<h2></h2><h2>Introduction</h2><p>It is reported that from 2017 to 2021, the scale of the global CDMO market increased from US $39.4 billion to US $63.2 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 12.5%. As the life science space continues to grow with development of technology and industrialization, innovative drugs continue to emerge, CDMO industry is now in a new round of golden development period. We can expect Contract Research, Development, Manufacturing Organizations (CRDMO) to expand on their capabilities and expertise to add more value in 2023 and beyond. More innovative product companies are focusing on their core capabilities and cutting down the operational costs that will increase the need for CRDMOs to achieve greater speed to market.  </p><p>The industry is under an increased pressure and challenges for both innovators and service providers. <h3></h3><h3><strong>Minghua Lu, Managing Director, eChinaHealth, Inc. </strong></h3><p>Minghua is Managing Director and founder of eChinaHealth, Inc. eChinaHealth services include digital platform and media, conferences and events, social network and community, and independent medical education for China healthcare and pharmaceutical segments.</p><p>Before founding eChinaHealth/eChinaChem, Minghua was the Business Manager at Alexa Internet of Amazon.com, where he was responsible for critical web metrics in customer acquisition, retention, and monetization. </p><p>Before joining Amazon, he was a management consultant at Booz-Allen &amp; Hamilton San Francisco office. He advised many of the world’s top corporations on strategic issues such as global business portfolio optimization, sales and distribution channel restructuring, mergers &amp; acquisition, organization transformation, and corporate governance.</p><p>Prior to Booz-Allen, Minghua held managerial and engineering positions in global procurement, marketing and sales, central operation, and product development at ExxonMobil Corporation, Genzyme (now part of Sanofi), Gene-track (now part of Abbott), and China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC).</p><p>Minghua has an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from Yale University, and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University.</p>

<h3><strong></strong></h3><h3><strong>Dr. Joanne Johnson, Chief Business Officer, Porton USA</strong></h3><p>Since leaving the UK in the early 2000’s navigating a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience Dr. Johnson has been working in pharmaceutical development in Europe and the USA. Since leaving the lab, she moved to the “desk side” of the business, leaving peptide chemistry, medicinal chemistry and development programs to focus on commercial programs in the pharmaceutical industry. Joanne has  been enjoying Business Development now for over 20 years at both US and China based operations seeing programs progress through the clinic to commercial stage, her most recent role at Porton Pharma Solutions, Ltd. Started  3 years ago, resulting in oversight of the USA business development organization through several years of sustained growth.</p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Christina Lee, Vice President, Global Families Group Asia, J.P. Morgan Private Bank</strong></h3><p>Christina Lee is a Banker in the Global Families Group Asia Team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank based in San Francisco. The Global Families Group serves J.P. Morgan’s most sophisticated international and multi-jurisdictional clients. Miss Lee advises clients who are predominantly based in Asia on a variety of matters –including asset allocation and investment portfolio construction, capital and liquidity strategies, and wealth transfer opportunities and implementation.</p><p>Prior to J.P. Morgan, Christina spent 9 years in private wealth management (PWM) sector, including Morgan Stanley SF and Credit Suisse HK. Ms. Lee has been dedicated in providing investment proposal and portfolio management to UHNW clients in Greater China region before relocating back to US. Now, Ms. Lee focuses on leveraging J.P. Morgan’s global platform and resources to prepare holistic plans for cross-border wealth management and transfer between Asia and United States. Ms. Lee engaged in equity research analyst and covered Taiwan technology sector for 5 years before pivoting her career to PWM field.</p><p>Christina holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she chose concentration in entrepreneur, finance, and accounting. Ms. Lee also holds a B.A. in Economics from National Taiwan University. Ms. Lee is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English and Taiwanese dialect.</p><p></p>

<h3><strong>Nigel Walker, Founder &amp; Life Sciences Investor, THAT'S NICE</strong></h3><p>Nigel has 37 years of experience in entrepreneurial business management, research, strategic brand marketing, and more recently M&amp;A, and has spent the last 25 years focused on the pharma market. He harnesses the capabilities of That’s Nice to help 300+ clients each year to understand future trends, communicate their business vision through marketing, and achieve growth goals through acquisition. Nigel earned a bachelor’s degree in design from London College.</p>

<h3><strong>Gil Roth, President, Pharma &amp; Biopharma Outsourcing Association (PBOA)</strong></h3><p>Gil Roth is the founder and president of the Pharma &amp; Biopharma Outsourcing Association (PBOA, https://pharma-bio.org). In this role since 2014, he advocates for the regulatory, legislative, and general business interests of the CMO/CDMO sector. He has recruited many companies into the association, organized PBOA’s various working groups and committees, helped negotiate industry user fee programs, testified to Congress on behalf of PBOA members, educated Congressional staff on this sector’s role and interests, given presentations at FDA and other regulatory bodies, organized and managed PBOA’s annual Members Conference, and more. He was previously the Founding Editor of Contract Pharma magazine.</p>

<h3><strong>Unmesh Lal, Director of ealthcare &amp; Life Sciences, Frost &amp; Sullivan </strong></h3><p>Unmesh Lal has 15+ years of healthcare industry expertise, comprising of strategy consulting, primarily with global pharmaceutical companies. His particular expertise lies in tracking game changing companies, innovative business models and disruptive technologies in pharmaceutical contract research, development and manufacturing  services. </p><p>He has authored thought leadership on the Biologics , Bio-CDMO &amp; CRO Markets and presented at leading industry events like CPhI Worldwide. His in-depth understanding of the precision health ecosystem enable him to guide companies in identifying growth opportunities in emerging segments like targeted therapeutics. </p><p>He holds a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor.</p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Wei Huang, Chief Operation Officer and Senior Vice President, Henlius</strong></h3><p>Ms. Wei Huang, Chief Operation Officer and Senior Vice President, responsible for commercialized production and delivery, and construction of Songjiang Site. Ms. Huang holds Bachelor degree from East China University of Science and Technology in Biochemical Engineering, Master degree from University of Maryland in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. Prior to joining Henlius, Ms. Huang has Senior management and leadership experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry spanning over twenty-five years in process development, technology transfer, manufacturing, process and facility design, capital project execution, and quality system implementation.</p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Min Park, Chief Business Officer, Aton Biotech</strong></h3><p>Min Park is the Chief Business Officer at Aton Biotech, responsible for establishing long-term growth strategy for the company. He has over 20 years of domestic and international experience in developing, implementing, and managing global commercial operations in the life science industry. He successfully launched several CDMOs from Biologics to Cell and Gene Therapy with aggressive targets.  Prior, he has served at WuXi AppTec - WuXi Advanced Therapies, Abzena, Catalent, Samsung Biologics, and several other CDMO holding several global leadership roles. He is also a Vice Chairman of the Board with National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) which is the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) inclusive organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Business Administration in Marketing from Montclair State University and now studying at Louisiana State University for an MBA. He is bilingual in English and Korean.</p>

<h3><strong></strong></h3><h3><strong>Dan Zhang, co-founder of Hillgene, co-founder of ClinChoice</strong></h3><p>Dr. Dan Zhang is a co-founder and co-Chairman of the Board for the Hillgene Biotech Inc.-a leading CDMO focusing on CGT product development. </p><p>Dr. Dan Zhang is also a co-founder and chief strategic officer of ClinChoice, a clinical CRO with more than 3000 employees，Dr. Zhang was the Head of Clinical Development and Safety Assessment at Sigma-Tau Research Inc, He was the vice president of Quintiles Transnational Corp. (now is called IQVIA）</p><p>Dr. Zhang was a member of the Overseas Expert Committee on New Drug R&amp;D from MOST. He is the senior consultant to Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and NMPA (the China National Medical and Pharmaceutical Administration). He is a member of ICH E19 Expert Working Group. </p><p>Dr. Zhang received his pre-med training from Peking University and received his M.D. from Peking Union Medical College. He continued his study at the Harvard School of Public Health and received an MPH in health policy and management. Then he continued his training at the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his master’s degree in healthcare management in 1998 and is working on his Ph.D. dissertation in the field of health economics and finance. </p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Alex Chen, President, uBriGene Biosciences</strong></h3><p>Alex Chen is the President, Overseas Operations and Business Development for at uBriGene Biosciences Inc responsible for expanding oversea business and market share.  He has over 20 years of experience in operational management, investment, acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Responsible for North America operations, he oversee corporate, commercial, and facility operation. Prior, he has served as Managing Director of Eastern Capital Inc. responsible for USD $1 billion asset under management portfolio for an array of clients from the mining, commercial and financial services industries. He was also an acting advisor on an investment project for issuing USD $500 million bond for a pharmaceutical company that was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He also held several leadership positions at Rio Tinto Alcan, RCI Capital Inc., Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure BC, Worley Parsons and Westmar Advisors. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Hunan University and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC).</p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Gui-Dong Zhu, Founder &amp; CEO SparX Group</strong></h3><p>Gui-Dong Zhu is the founder and CEO of the SparX Group. He is a 27-year veteran in pharmaceutical industry, 22 Years with various leadership responsibilities at Abbott/Abbvie, contributing to the development of one product and six candidates in different stages of clinical trials. Following incorporation of SparX Group in 2018, Gui-Dong built sophisticated and integrated technology platforms for antibody development including the SparxNano platform for the discovery of highly potent and specific single domain antibodies and the SynMabTM platform for optimization of multi-specific antibodies. Gui-Dong also has expertise in other aspects of pharmaceutical research including structural biology, drug delivery, antibody manufacturing, and all phases of preclinical studies. Gui-Dong is author or co-author of more than one hundred publications of original papers, reviews, patents and presentations, along with over six hundred commentaries. Gui-Dong has also been an invited and plenary speaker in a number of venues both nationally and internationally.</p>
