Global Bites: A Culinary Journey - Baking and Travel Through Food - incoming 3rd to 5th grade

Join us for an exciting event where young food enthusiasts can embark on a culinary journey like no other! Global Bites is a fun and interactive experience that will take your taste buds on an adventure around the world.

In this class held at Gale Ranch Middle School, you will have the opportunity to explore different cultures through food. From baking delicious treats to discovering unique flavors, this event will inspire young chefs to embrace their creativity in the kitchen.

You will learn and practice baking basics with new and varied projects each day. You will also practice measuring and mixing techniques, as well as presentation skills. We will discuss the chemistry behind the recipes and you will learn about various cuisines, traditional recipes, and the stories behind them. You will gain a deeper understanding of different cultures and develop a love for diverse flavors. You will get to sample your creations and bring them home!

• Class Time: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a break for snack

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL: The health and safety of our students, staff, their families, and the community at large is our top priority. SRVEF follows the guidelines set by Contra Costa Health Services.

REFUND, CANCELATION, and WAITLIST POLICIES: Refunds will be allowed up until 2 weeks before the first day of class and will incur a $25 processing fee. After this time, no refunds will be granted. If a class is canceled by SRVEF Imagineering, you will be given the option to transfer registration to a similar class or receive a full refund. The waitlist will be handled in order until one week before the event. At that time, if a spot becomes available, the entire wait list will be notified at the same time and the first to respond will be offered the spot.
