About Chelsea Devantez:

Chelsea Devantez is an Emmy Award–nominated writer, comedian, director, and host of the podcast Glamorous Trash. Before she entered into an overall television deal with 20th Century Studios, she was Jon Stewart’s head writer for Apple TV+’s The Problem with Jon Stewart. Her other television credits include Not Dead Yet, Girls5eva, and Bless This Mess, among others. She grew up in six different states all across the Southwest but will always consider New Mexico home.

About Chelsea's Memoir "I Shouldn't Be Telling You This":

There are things Chelsea Devantez probably shouldn’t be telling you, like how her family used lawn chairs as living room furniture, or how she used to date a magician. Then there are things Chelsea really shouldn’t be telling you: like the time her biggest family secret was publicly outed, or the domestic violence she survived as a teenager. In her hilarious and inspiring new collection of essays, Devantez tracks her life from a childhood in precarity to a burgeoning career in comedy to becoming the head writer for The Problem with Jon Stewart.

About Tansy:

Tansy is a black, woman-owned and operated plant nursery and home goods store locatedin Seattle, WA and Burbank, CA., founded by Shawna Christian, an L.A. native.

The pivot to owning the plant shop happened after Shawna’s 20-year career running an IT company. Around the time she turned 50, she had her ‘Aha!’ moment, realizing she was ready for a big career shift. A lifelong lover of plants, she invested all her money and opened the plant store Tansy in L.A in 2019. In April 2023, Tansy expanded to Seattle becoming the city's only black woman-owned plant and retail store, and it’s quickly developing a fan base in the Emerald City.

Their mission is simple, but powerful: helping every home inspire joy and reflect the uniqueness within each person. Wherever they go, the Tansy women create a sense of community, not just an exceptional shopping experience. That’s just one of the reasons the store quickly became a go-to spot for plant enthusiasts and plant-curious customers alike who revel in their wide array of hand-selected indoor and outdoor plants as well as vast selection of art and home goods.
