Overview

Learn about how the industry uses code right now, from local professionals!

STAY TUNED - SPEAKER, AGENDA, AND LOCATION ANNOUNCEMENTS SOON

Programming is at the core of the games industry.

And still, it can be one of the most intimidating things to learn. Where should you start? What engines and languages are best? Is visual scripting worth it? What tools are out there for modern developers? Should AI worry coders? What techniques are being pioneered by the industry right now?

Whether you're wondeirng how to start coding, or are interested in what other professionals are doing to make new and interesting games, this is a panel for you.

As with our other GIZ panels, we're giving students and public some time with industry professionals with a range of experience to learn about these topics, and ask their own questions face-to-face.

If you're interested in any aspect of games programming - even if you aren't a coder yourself, reserve a space and come along!

This panel will take place on the University of Surrey Stag Hill Campus, and is proudly facilitated by the BSc Games Design staff.
