Girls Try Softball is a free event for any girl age 4-14 who wants to learn about and try playing softball. Girls will be put into groups based on age and run through softball drills and a scrimmage that will teach them how to play. There is a guest speaker who will talk about women in sports and in male dominated spaces. We will end the event with a lunchtime treat and invite everyone to watch the SBLL 10u softball team play in their regional championship game.
The event is put on by South Baltimore Little League that currently runs both a baseball and a softball program. This year our softball program has 3 divisions with over 100 girls signed up.
