In this three hour clinic, Coach Brooke DeRosa and Amanda Ferranti will focus on empowering female players to make confident decisions under pressure.
Our focus this time around is on an important concept: "mindreading."
This term might sound a bit mysterious, but it actually refers to a common psychological pattern where individuals, including our young athletes, assume they know what others are thinking without having real evidence.
In sports, this might manifest as your child worrying excessively about what coaches or teammates think of their performance. This can create unnecessary anxiety and distract them from focusing on their own growth and abilities.
During the clinic, we will work on strategies to help players recognize and move away from this habit, encouraging them to concentrate more on their personal development and less on unverified perceptions. This shift not only helps improve their performance but also enhances their overall mental well-being.
We look forward to discussing this further and providing your children with tools to overcome these challenges and making decisions with confidence and ease!
