Ghost in the Graveyard is a who’s who of the Asheville jam scene. Alex Bazemore and Garrett Andrews on guitar and vocals, Ian Taylor on keys and vocals, Keith Snyder on Bass and vocals and Slappy on drums. The band takes an “improv first” approach to playing everyone's jam favorites, Dead, Phish, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, but has also woven current artists into the set, such as Big Thief, Mapache, Radiohead as well as original material. The band honors the song with tight dancey pockets and wispy three part harmonies yet strives to find a new curious path through the music with original arrangements and long exploratory, even experimental collective improvisations. Much like the Children’s game ( ghost in the graveyard... ) the band endeavors to approach the songs with a joyful, playful quality that is indeed felt by the audience. Come play with us!
