Join G&G contributing editor Jonathan Miles and author Percival Everett at the magazine’s Cigar Factory headquarters for a compelling conversation on the author’s newly released book James. The highly-anticipated novel reimagines The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, told from the enslaved Jim’s perspective, and follows him as he uses his agency and intelligence to escape.

Listen, with drinks in hand, to an exclusive conversation that explores and celebrates this imaginative reinterpretation.

*Signed book available for purchase at the event.

Percival Everett is the award-winning author of several novels, including The Trees, Erasure, and Telephone. He was a Booker Prize shortlist finalist for The Trees and a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Telephone. Everett’s novel Erasure was adapted into the Academy Award-winning film American Fiction.
