GFWC Citizen of the Year banquet honoring Bill Hanson

Each year we select and honor a citizen from the Delano, Minnesota area whose volunteer efforts and body of work have served to improve the lives of those who live, work, play or pray in our community. A banquet is held that celebrates the work of the honoree. Proceeds go to the General Federated Women's Club of Delano who, in turn, provides funding for various community improvement projects including the City Library, park and playground equipment, Riverfront Park, the Splash Pad, AED for the Fire Department, art and culture projects, Central Park Gazebo and Concerts in the Park, raised garden beds for the Delano Schools, Labyrinth, among others. The Club also provides funding to local domestic violence prevention, Operation Smile, Ride for a Reason, Delano graduates senior party and others.
