This presentation provides information for those working with older adults or residents on the value of estate planning. Attendees with learn the value of some type of estate planning, regardless of someone's net worth. It will be discussed what probate is and how to help elders on how to avoid it, what is included in an Advance Healthcare Directive and learn what "durable" means with a Durable Power of Attorney. The presentation will give knowledge and awareness of how to guide others to free and/or inexpensive options for a Healthcare Power of Attorney and with designating beneficiaries.
