Getting to Know Your Child - 4-Week Course
This four-week program for families with children is designed to help you understand your child's behavior and improve your relationship.
Children driving you crazy? Do they fly off the handle, go into full meltdown over things that seem trivial to you? Or at times over nothing at all? Do all your best attempts to help them calm down only make things worse? Left baffled on how to respond?
You’re not alone. This behavior is the single biggest reason people reach out to me for help. As a therapist, I have ability to help only a few families per year. But much of what we spend time on is not therapy itself. It is education and coaching. That’s why I developed this program - to offer the information and interventions I most often share with parents in a more cost effective, accessible online program.
Know your Child offers the information and support you need to turn things around and build a happier relationship with your child.
For $450 you receive:
- 4 group sessions aimed at helping you understand the why behind your child’s behavior

- Dozens of strategies for working with your child’s brain to create change

- Discount on additional parent coaching tailored just for your family

- Opportunity to meet other parents struggling with similar issues

- Opportunity to ask questions, focus on the issues of most concern to you and learn from others at the same time

- Understanding how your child’s brain works will help you make sense of baffling behaviors. And understanding why these behaviors occur will help you respond in ways that are helpful, supportive of your parent-child relationship, supportive of your child's developing problem-solving skills, and promote self control

Course Schedule:
Classes meet online Wednesdays 7:15-8:30 pm
September 7-28
About Me
I'm Katrinca Ford, MFT. I have been studying children, child development and play for most of my 61 years. My education includes a BA in Human Development and an MS in counseling, both from Cal Sate
East Bay. I have decades of of experience working with children in a wide variety of setting.
Most recently my work with traumatized children in therapy lead me to seek out training on neuro development that has wide application for all children. Through all this my respect for the power of play has continued to increase.
