Getting Started with WikiProject Writing

CCCC Wikipedia Initiative

This workshop will introduce you to WikiProject Writing, a group of writing studies scholars advancing knowledge equity on Wikipedia.

Please join us online for the Getting Started with WikiProject Writing workshop on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 1:30PM-3:00PM ET. This workshop will introduce you to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Writing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WikiProject Writing</a> as a collaborative space for coordinating efforts to improve Wikipedia articles related to our areas of expertise. Topics will include defining the scope of WikiProject Writing by tagging articles, directing the priorities of WikiProject Writing by assessing articles, and adding to and working from our list of articles in need of work and creation.This is an interactive workshop. There will be opportunities for discussion, questions, and live editing. We aim to have you comfortable editing Wikipedia by the end of the workshop. All comp/rhet scholars are welcome. This event is limited to 10 participants.The workshop will be hosted on Zoom by Savannah Cragin, the CCCC Wikipedian-in-Residence.
