Getting Started with WikiProject Writing

CCCC Wikipedia Initiative

This workshop introduces past, present, and future CCCC members to WikiProject Writing.

Please join us online for the Getting Started with WikiProject Writing workshop on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 12:00PM-1:30PM ET. This workshop will introduce you to WikiProject Writing as a collaborative space for coordinating efforts to improve Wikipedia articles related to our areas of expertise. Topics will include defining the scope of WikiProject Writing by tagging articles, directing the priorities of WikiProject Writing by assessing articles, and adding to and working from our list of articles in need of work and creation. We encourage you to <a href="https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/CCCCWI/Getting_Started_with_WikiProject_Writing_(March_26,_2021)?enroll=kpxesdbz" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">register on the event dashboard </a>and familiarize yourself with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Writing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WikiProject Writing</a> beforehand. We aim to have you collaborating on WikiProject Writing by the end of the workshop.All comp/rhet scholars with a basic level of Wikipedia editing skills are welcome. This event is limited to 15 participants.The workshop will be hosted on Google Meet by Savannah Cragin, the CCCC Wikipedian-in-Residence.
