This educational workshop is designed for stay-at-home parents and others who are exploring flexible or supplemental income options presented by Danielle Wavrin, the Director of Entrepreneurial Services at the Owatonna Area Business Development Center.
Participants will learn about virtual assistant work, including the types of tasks commonly performed, how work is structured, and what pay expectations typically look like. The session will also cover what getting started involves, the basic tools used, and how to evaluate opportunities to determine a good fit. Danielle will also share her experience and success with working as a virtual assistant and digital business manager.
This workshop is informational in nature and intended to provide a realistic overview for those considering whether virtual assistant work aligns with their goals, schedule, and skills. Time will be reserved for questions.
All attendees will receive:
- an opportunity to have free one-on-one business consulting to help them get started
- three free months of co-working space at the Rose Street Center
- a list of Facebook groups to find virtual jobs
- worksheets to figure out what skills you have to offer
