The authors behind the award-winning The Unequal Pandemic explore successful international case studies of governments reducing health inequalities – from the USA and Brazil to Germany and England – stretching over fifty years from the 1960s to the 2000s.

Prof Clare Bambra, Prof Julia Lynch, and Prof Katherine Smith will be joined by chair Debs Shipton from Public Health Scotland to discuss their newest book "Getting Better: The policy and politics of reducing health inequalities". The book launch is sure to be of interests to students and scholars of public health and the social sciences, and for health and social care professionals and policy makers

'Getting Better' demonstrates that reducing health inequalities is possible and provides ideas for those seeking to reduce health inequalities today. There will be space for questions and discussion of the topics raised
