A fun and free STEM event 
for 4th-12th grade students!
Co-hosted by <A HREF="http://www.ut.edu/itm/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The University of Tampa's </A><A HREF="http://www.ut.edu/itm/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Information &amp; Technology Management department</A> and the nonprofit, <A HREF="http://tbtla.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tampa Bay Technology Leadership Association (TBTLA) </A>During the event, students will:

<LI>Participate in several fun and interactive technology related activities </LI>
<LI>Meet professionals in STEM related careers </LI>
<LI>Enjoy an afternoon lunch </LI>
<LI>Have a chance to win exciting raffle prizes </LI>
</UL>
The goal of GETSMART is to identify, influence and mentor 4th-12th grade students in West-Central Florida to pursue technology related education and careers. The program strives to increase the number of students who select math, science and information technology as further education or a career field by broadening their understanding of the importance of these studies, and raising awareness that math, science and technology are interlaced into many careers. 
Only students should register for the event. Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay during the event or pick up afterwards. Lunch will be served at 1pm. A campus tour for students grade 8 and up will start at 1:30 pm. Parents must accompany their child on campus tour.
