Colleen Johnson is the Practice Director of Lean and Agile Transformation at ImagineX Consulting.  Colleenappliesa systems thinking approach to aligning agile methodologies across the enterprise andworks with clients to apply the right cultural and context-driven practices to create sustainable agility. She is an expert in Lean/Kanban methods of iterative software delivery and advocates for LeanStartup principles using scientific methods of customer-centered discovery.  She has been in the software development world for over 15 years with experiences ranging from writing test automation to managing off-shore engineers. She is active in the national Lean Kanban community as a speaker, accredited trainer, and Kanban Certified Professional as well as in her local community as the Founder of the AgileDenver Coaching Meetup, member of AgileDenver Board of Directors, and as Chairman of the 2016 & 2017 Mile High Agile Conferences.

Join Colleen Johnson and ImagineX Consulting for an afternoon of the GetKanban Board Game- the fast & fun way to learn the concepts and mechanics of Kanban Method for software development teams.
-----Learn the Principles of Flow-----
Make the work visible:  The game emphasizes why making work visible is important to being able to quickly address blockers and move stale work items out of the system.  Players will also learn what elements of the work are important to be able to see at glance. 
Limit work in progress:  Teams new to Kanban often feel like work-in-progress (WIP) limits are an arbitrary constraint.  The game will highlight the relationships between WIP, throughput and cycle time so players understand how to find the optimal amount of work for their teams.
Optimize throughput:  Playing the getKanban game will show teams that doing more work doesn’t necessarily mean that you get more work done.  You will learn that getting maximum output from your team requires ability to respond and identify bottlenecks quickly.
Accurately predict delivery:  Kanban metrics give your team the ability to accurately predict delivery without estimates or guessing.  The game teaches you how to interpret and respond to a few simple metrics that empower anyone to use yesterday’s weather to forecast when work will be complete.
